BY AIR: There are frequent flights to the Jolly Grant Airport in Dehradun, the closest airport to Kanatal. From the airport, the drive to reach The Rosly takes about 2.5 hours.

BY TRAIN: Get down at the Dehradun train station and drive 2.5 hours further to reach the estate.

BY ROAD: A drive to The Rosly takes about 6 hours from Delhi.

It is a smooth ride all the way on the Char Dham expressway from Dehradun. At Chamba, the expressway is met with the Chamba Mussoorie Highway to Jwarna. From Jwarna the property is accessed through an all-season walkway along a lush forest path to reach the estate. No vehicle directly drops the guests in front of the estate grounds. All guests need to take the forest trail.

Forest Trail: This is a dirt track / kachha road through the Devadarshini Coniferous Forest which can be traversed by a 15-20 minute hike on foot or via horseback and on donkeys or mules which takes about 10 minutes. All luggage will reach the property on the back of mules. The forest trail is refreshing and stimulating – the fragrance of plant life under their green canopy is a delight to encounter. A guide will be allotted to the guests to help them reach the estate comfortably.

If travelling with children or elderly members of the family, kindly inform our team in advance.

We offer a comfortable airport/station pickup service for which we require to be informed beforehand in order to be able to arrange a suitable ride for our guests. This service is chargeable, depending upon the type of vehicle required for the travel.

Please note that the vehicles arranged from our end do not drop guests to the doorstep of the Estate. The 15 – 20 minute hike through the forest trail applies for the pickup service as well.

The check-in time of the estate for all guests is 12 noon. The guests are required to check out by 11:00 a.m. An early check-in or check-out is subject to availability and a request for the same needs to be made at least 7 days prior to arrival.

Guests are required to pay 50% of the total amount at the time of booking and the remaining amount needs to be paid 7 days prior to the commencement of their stay.

In case of Cancellation of Booking :

• more than 21 days ahead of arrival: No cancellation charges will apply.
• between 7 to 21 days ahead of arrival: 50% of the total expense of stay will be charged.
• less than 7 days ahead of arrival: 100% of the total expense of stay will be charged.
• In the case of No Show, there will be no refunds and guests will be charged with 100% of the total expense of stay.

Upon cancellation, the refund of the booking amount will be initiated from our end keeping in mind the above considerations. The ensuing amount will be credited into the bank account of the customer using the same payment mode by which the booking was made ( debit card/ credit card/ net-banking). Please note that the refund process may take up to 10 to 15 business days.

The location of The Rosly makes regular trips into town to buy groceries challenging due to the terrain and remote setting. Hence, for our guests to have a satisfying and fulfilling stay, a pre-decided menu is fixed at least 7 days prior to their arrival.

The guests are free to decide their own food menu. We offer a variety of cuisines directly from our kitchen with our experienced in-house chef to enjoy lip-smacking delicacies. Once a booking has been confirmed, guests are required to discuss their breakfast, lunch, and dinner menu beforehand for the entire length of their stay.

Be it a picnic or a barbecue plan, given our limited resources, all guests are kindly requested to share their meal preferences with the team well in advance.

For a soulful rejuvenating time in the midst of nature, the estate has been built privately for our guests to retire in seclusion. Only a few restaurants are situated in its vicinity, with select menu options. To access these restaurants, guests can request our staff to assist them.

Spring is beautiful and chilly with Rhododendrons in full bloom everywhere and summers are pleasant requiring light woollens. The rainy season  brings grey clouds and bouts of mist in the valleys and mountains, while winter arrives with enchanting snow. Temperatures can drop down to -1 degree celsius on some days in winter. The landscape is nature’s paradise and truly a sight to behold.
